Age 32, Day 13

This is a photo of the cervix of a 32 year old woman’s cervix.  She typically has a 28 day cycle and has tested positive for HPV.

Though she has never given birth, you can see her cervical os is elongated/wide, as a result of a LEEP procedure she had 3 years ago to remove precancerous cells found following her pap smear test, likely attributed to HPV.  No other conditions or complications have been observed due to HPV.

  1. I have a similar smile-shaped, slit-like os after having the LEEP at age 22 and no pregnancies, so I think this is probably an expected appearance for those of us with LEEP in our gyn history.
