Excellent site! I will be referring patients to it often. I always make a point to show women their cervix during a pelvic exam because I think it’s really important that women understand what’s going on “down there.” Also, I feel it gives a woman a measure of control and power during the exam instead of just laying there vulnerably, with “stuff” being done to her.

A note to women out there – just ask your doc for a hand mirror and tell them you’d like to see your cervix, at your next pelvic exam. It’s super simple!

I have often done Google image searches to show women what a cervix looks like, but now I will go directly to your site. Fantastic work, thank you!

Really quite interesting, I just did a Google for menstruation out of interest and was directed to your site. I was more curious than ‘perving’ and can’t quite put my finger on how I feel about your pics and observations. Were they to be displayed on the walls of a major art gallery, I wonder what the public’s reaction would be? Who would compose the incidental music and how would it sound? It is all very interesting and needn’t be taken too clinically I guess, but neither is it to be sneered or laughed at. I think that it comes rather close to art and creation itself and it’s good that you’ve opened yourself to public scrutiny and comment. You’ve given me an awful lot to think about, thank you xx

I’m a first year Student Midwife in the UK and this website was mentioned in our lecture earlier today. We had been learning about vaginal examinations and how the cervix changes. I have found this really inspiring and it has certainly helped me to understand everything a little bit more.

It was the first time (at age 33!) that I saw a picture of a cervix and I was struck by the delicate, soft pink beauty. Wow.

Excellent. I did a course in Amsterdam many years ago. We looked at each others’ cervices, did uterus exercises, learned loads about cycling not on bikes. Very interesting, empowering, enlightening and life-changing for us.The women putting this together, and the women, partners/photographers are to be congratulated. A must for women and men.

hi this is amazing im trying to conceive today is day before menstration due and my cervix is very high normally my cervix is low at this point preg test – today going to try clomid if i get my period and also having a HSG on friday the 13th 09 hoping it helps conceive if im not pregnant now anyway thanku for this would be hard doing this for the world to see but its for science i guess much appreciate to all the woman who did this xxoo ur friend in australia tracey
