Age 28 – Day 2

This is the cervix of a 28 year old woman.  She has never given birth and has no history of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs/STDs), abnormal pap smears, gynecological procedures or surgeries.

She uses FAM (Fertility Awareness Method) to track her cycles. Typically, her cycles are 26 days long. This photo was taken on day two. Dark red menstrual blood is visible on the os and pooling on the metal speculum.
